Journal Page and Card

Hi All. A lovely day here today and we went out for a walk early just in case it  the weather changed.  Thank you for joining me at Jumbled Crafts and I hope you enjoy what you find today.

Such lovely comments about my new header. The part where I added the snow is a painting I did in the 1990s.  Vic took a photo with me in it and I used the photograph as inspiration for my painting. We walked along in the snow in a place we had never been before, we were very lost and had to retrace our steps to find our way back home.

Art Journal Journey  their challenge for December was chosen by dear Valerie and her theme this time is Light and Darkness

I went a bit weird with my page today--so what's new?

I played around with a photograph and ended up with this.

At Always Use Rubber the theme this time is festival. I chose Christmas as I delved into my stamp box and found a Crafty Individual Stamp that has never been used.

I used a piece of striped black and white card and some patterned paper and gold card as backing for the beautiful stamp. The finishing touches are three silk leaves and three little baubles.

I would also like to share this at Stamps and Stencils where their theme is  Christmas Wishes

Have a lovely day

Chrissie xx

  1. Love the fun journal page, that gave me a laugh. I often feel I don't belong on this planet! Thanks for joining us again at AJJ. The header is gorgeous, too, but please don't send snow over here! The card is a beauty, a real stunner. Have a fun day, stay warm! It's freezing here. Hugs, Valerie

  3. OMGosh. This is fantastic. I have so much trouble with photo realism stamps. I've got two that won't stamp, and I have tried everything, including sanding them. You did a fantastic job, especially if this is a first stamping. It's a gorgeous card.

  13. I was trying to add a snowfall on my blog last weekend... without success! So a little bit envious of your animated banner...
Your alien reminds me of Darth Vader, she could be his wife? Fun! Love your Christmas card but then I'm fan of Crafty Individuals stamps...
