Journal page and Tag

Hi All from a very wet and windy NE UK coast. Wonder when I can say from a very hot and sunny -----? Looks like a h-----k and crafting day for me. Thank you for dropping by and making the day a bit sunnier.

Art Journal Journey are getting some wonderful entries for their sea challenge. It is so good to see that everyone has their own style and it comes out in journal pages I think.

After saying all that about people doing their own style I have done a page in the style of one of my favourite Yorkshire artists. Her name is Bridget Wilkison and you can find out more about her and see some of her work here. I have visited many of the places where her work is sold but have only ever bought postcards and then I have sent them to other people as we have been on holiday at the time. My page isn't like her work really but it did inspire me.

This is my tag for this week at Tag Tuesday where the theme is wild flowers
The photographs were all taken in our garden and I collage them to make the tag. We love to grow wild flowers as they attract insects which pollinate the veg plants and also look beautiful at the same time.

Have a lovely day all and send some sunshine our way if you have any to spare

Love Chrissie xx

  6. Awesome journal page Chrissie, the colourful houses look quite continental and definitely from somewhere warmer than here in the N.E. Love your flower tag as well, you have lovely flowers in your garden.

  7. What a colourful interpretation of beach and houses. Could be from a hotel area by the sea.
    The flower tag is beautiful.
    Hugs xx

  8. Fantastic page, love it ! I hope you are doing well. Well after our extreme cold winter we are enjoying nice sunshine and warm tempatures, we are feeling lucky now. Take care, Shirleyxx

  9. I totally love your very colourful painted houses and your patterned sea, very clever. It looks so jolly and happy and you are right that it is fascinating to see all the different ways of interpretation of the theme.
It has been raining solidly all day here, so it's a good day to catch up on indoor pursuits - and the garden likes the rain.

  10. Love your page! Such lovely vibrant colours! Great flower collage too! It was fine here most of the day but when we went to pick up our GD from school the heavens opened - rain coming straight at us - even under the umbrella - our son dried us out with a hairdryer when he got back from his school!!! At least I needn't worry about the plants drying out at the caravan!!! Chrisx

  11. Love the little houses I would like to move in.

  12. A fabulous journal page, I love the colourful houses and how you've done the sea.
