Tag and Journal page

Hi All. Back to normal for me now my daughter has gone back home. It was great having here and always lots of fun and laughter when she visits us. Thank you for calling in and I hope you like what I have made to show you today

First stop Go Tag Thursday where Zoe is guest designer and has chosen Gothic as the theme

I just love seeing the Goths when we visit Whitby and used two of my own photographs to make this tag

Goths do Folk Dancing at Whitby

Part of the Whitby Abbey Ruins.

Now to Art Journal Journey where Elizabeth is hosting her chosen theme of Back to School. You have until the end of September to join in.

Sport was the only thing our form seemed to get prizes for though we were all quite bright we weren't bright enough. Someone posted a picture on Facebook of our form hockey team--I am not on Facebook so I never saw it. The one that posted it was Marie and soon she had found most of us and arranged for us to meet up at our old school. Only two of the team lived anywhere near to the school now and Janet lived in Canada but she came anyway. It was great meeting them and also a few others from our form turned up as well. We had a great time in a local pub as the old school was closed for repairs so we couldn't look around that. It had become a Comprehensive School and was mixed now after being a Grammar School for girls only when we were there.

Have a great weekend

Love Chrissie xx

Love the journal page with the vintage photo of your hockey team - when I think of hockey I can almost feel my bruises....Good that you were able to get in touch again. Those happy goths look great fun, too. Have a lovely day, hugs, Valerie

Must have been a great reunion for you all Canada is a long way to come but what a great excuse to visit England. Lovely to have your Daughter staying for a little while as well. Your Tag is terrific I did wonder how you would treat the theme and think your combination of the two image is brilliant. Thank you XOXO Zoe

What a fabulous post. Impressive use of your own photos for the tag. It is wonderful and so colorful, too.

We didn't have hockey in the US schools I went to. In fact, I wouldn't know how to play it because I'm in an area other than the north and east US, where hockey is big. Here in Kansas, we simply don't have the rinks for it. But I simply adore the way you have used an old photo to create this wonderful AJJ entry today.

Glad you had a good visit from your daughter.

Now that your daughter has gone home (I didn't want to bother you while she was visiting), I was wondering if I could add your blog to my left sidebar. I'll only do it when/if I get permission.

Thanks Chrissie. I'm on my way to add you, now.

Your photos are great. Those goth dancers not only look like they are having fun, but it looks like it would be fun to do. And I love your journal page and the story that goes with it. How cool that Janet came all the way from Canada. I bet it was fun to get together. Hugs-Erika
