Journal Page and Inchie

Hello Everyone and a happy new week to you all. Thank you for dropping in at Jumbled Crafts along the way.

Art Journal Journey have Yvonne as the host for March and she has chosen the wonderful theme 'Out and About'. Lots of choices for this. As I just love being out and about I am looking forward to thinking what to put on a page.

Here is a page I painted and added cut out photographs from when Vic and Me first met. At the time we both worked hard and the weekends were so precious. He picked me up early in his car and we were off to climb a mountain somewhere as we lived in the Lake District at the time.

This is the background I painted and it is my first attempt at a water colour--I followed an online tutorial in my journal that Valerie made for me

This is my 'new' box of paints. I bought it about 30 years ago and never used it as I found gouache much more my style. £10 .25 was a lot of money in those days and that is probably why I kept it thinking that one day I would have a go. Not long to wait ----

At Every Inchie Monday this week we have Duck as the theme. I am really enjoying drawing the animals so far but I bet they get harder as the year goes on. The complete list is at the top of my blog if you want to join in.

Hope you day goes well

Love Chrissie xx

Lovely journal page, you 2 look like you are having fun on that mountain. Windsor and Newton colours are good, so yes, it's time to use them. Lovely inchie, too. Off to the hossie now! Hugs, Valerie

Goodness. I was really impressed with that AJJ entry. You and Vic look like the weekend was quite enjoyable after a hard week at work. I love the photo of you facing away from the page photographing the wildlife. This is an incredible page, possibly my favorite ever.

Those Windsor and Newton watercolors are very impressive. They are expensive in today's market (10 pounds), so I can only imagine how costly 10 pounds were back then. You chose wisely, though, because I have heard very good things about this brand. And if that background is any indication, you are on your way to a fabulous new art tool in your arsenal.

LOVE the duck. They are already too hard for me, so I am in awe of your drawing skills.

Your page is fantastic, crammed full of wonderful memories :-). I love the photos of you both, you look so happy, and the addition of the music notes ... I'm going to be singing that song all day now ... Lol! :-) I have spent many a holiday in the Lake District as a girl and now we often visit, it's such a beautiful part of the world. I'm loving your inchie too, you have captured all those pretty colours in the duck's feathers wonderfully. Have a great week! J :-)

Thank you Chrissie for the wonderful memories of you and your lovelie. You look so happy and the AJ page is really great. Love your watercolour BG. You have talents, the duck is fine and beautiful, too.
Our television presented last evening George Michael's Consert at Paris Opera in 2012. I recorded it and looked now. I LOVE his voice and songs. Cried many times.
Have a great day, my friend ❤

What a super page with you and Vic on the mountain! Great!
It's always worth to buy good supplies - they last for so long - well done - I have my expensive pastel box since over 20 years -- a super investment - even though it was really expensive then.
Your lovely inchie makes me smile !
Have a great start into the new week and thank you very much for all your support and entryies to Art Journal Journey again!
You are such an angel!

It's a lovely page, and your watercolour background is beautifully soft and atmospheric. I don't thank you for that particular ear-worm though!
Your tiny duck is fab.
