T Day, Tag Tuesday and Photographs

Hello Everyone and thank you for your visit to Jumbled Crafts today.

Happy T Day to my T Day friends at Elizabeth and Bluebeard's Tuesday drinks get together.

I am still looking for unusual or special mugs at bargain prices and found another one for this week

On the bottom of the mug

I found this mug at the local car boot sale for 20p so another great find I thought.

Here are more photographs from York that I promised you last on the post last week

These are all photographs taken at the Treasurer's house and garden and it is why we went to York as Chris showed some photographs of the garden a while ago and it was somewhere we hadn't been before in York. The garden was certainly beautiful but used to be greenhouses and even a ballroom in the past. So many things inside and out had been changed by one Frederick Green that it was difficult to follow even the guides as they told the history of this house.

Some of the floorboards that were carved by the famous Mouseman. We have visited his factory that still does the same sort of work with the little mice on the pieces.

A French clock

Hope you will join us at Tag Tuesday where Valerie is asking us to use our scraps this time. If you visit my post before this one you can find out who won the owl and see my first tag for the scraps challenge

This is my second tag for the challenge and it has lots of bits and bobs and also some sewing. There is felt, lace, ribbon, tape, fabric, artificial leaves and even a foam flower. Amazing the things I keep 'for later'

Have a great day

Love Chrissie xx

  5. Its a super bargain mug find Chrissie. The photos looked lovely, we didn't get in to the Treasurer's House the last visit we had to York, just the gardens and your photos show how lovely and peaceful they are.
Another fabulous scrap tag, we shouldn't call them scrap as they do look so beautiful.
    Happy T day.
    Yvonne xx

  6. I'm not sure where to begin, Chrissie. The photos from York are beautiful. They certainly compliment those of Chris'. I loved the photos from inside the Treasurer's House. But those Mouseman floors were amazing, and I got caught up reading about the English Oak. Oak is my wood of choice, but I prefer quarter-sawn to regular sawn. The floors were very unique, though.

Your tag is adorable, but I agree with Yvonne. These should not be called scraps, but works of art.

I was blown away by the latest mug you bought. The price was unbelievable, too. I love the Nova Scotia crest and the beautiful mug.

Thanks for sharing more photos from York, your tag, and your lovely new mug with us for T this Tuesday.

  15. I like having a variety of cups/mugs around, and you did find a good one!

Thx for those photos. I think it'd be fascinating to be able to visit such historic sites, even if they've sometimes been drastically altered over time.

    Happy T Tuesday!

  17. Your unusual or special mug collection is growing rapidly, Chrissie.

Yes, Tony is a great one for protesting - but not so much that I don't take his photo!!! Most of my photos become blurred though because I am laughing to much! Happy T Day! Chrisx

  23. Very interesting mug and the photos of your outing are fabulous.
    Happy T-day

  24. Great potos! I like that mug. I have never seen it before. What a find!
The gardens are lovely. Like other people I loved the frame. I also like the cobbles. The bedrooms are ery posh indeed. Ican't imagine sleeping in a bed like that. It's a good thing they had servants in those days.
    Belated happy T-Day,

  25. Well, for 20p you really can't go wrong! The Treasurer's House looks marvellous - one of those time-travel kinds of places to visit - thanks for sharing all the lovely photos. And I'm so enjoying . your scrappy tags - must try to play along - have many scraps, many tags and many scrap tags lying around!
