Vintage at Try it on Tuesday

Hi All

I hope your week is going well. Mine seems to have flown by with a mix of watching sport on television, knitting at the same time, and trying to fit in a few longer walks as well.

At Try it on Tuesday the theme this time is Vintage. Still lots of time to join in with the challenge

I decided to go digital this time though it started out with inspiration from one of the beautiful paper napkins that Yvonne sent to me. I still can't bear to cut into them so I scanned part of it to use for the background of my piece. The ladies I found here and all the other things are Paint Shop Pro brushes I have created or effects.

Yesterday was very wet first thing in the morning but as it looked like it might change so we set off for Sewerby Park along the cliff top. So pleased we did as there were Spring bulbs in bloom all over the place. Such a wonderful sight.

Wishing you a great day

Quotes at Tag Tuesday

Hi All

Still very cold and a thick frost here today but beautiful blue sky with sunshine as well. We have a lot of cleaning up and sorting out to do after we had a combi bolier fitted this week. It has left so many things to sort out and clear up. One bonus is a huge empty cupboard where the copper cylinder used to be--now what can I put in there??

Couldn't resist the challenge at Tag Tuesday  as Michele has asked us to use a quote. She is also giving a prize as well so a chance to win that if you enter a tag.

My tag has a  background of one of Frida Kahlo paintings and I did brighter prints of some of the painting and cut them out to highlight parts of it. Then I used a Split Coaster stamp that has Frida and one of her quotes on it. Had to do it on a white background as the ink didn't show up on the painting. The whole thing was them stuck onto some orange card and I am happy to say it is now hung on my wall so I can look at it as I type.

Have a great day

Love is in the Air at TIOT

Hello Everyone

Hope you are well and not having weather problems where you are. It has been very cold, wet and windy here but only a light sprinkling of snow so far this year.

Try it on Tuesday  have invited us to show our 'Love is in the Air' ideas and there is still over a week to enter with your creation.

I made a card. It started out with a red card background, then a few light stamps of a black ink pad and some gold paint. The Love stamp is from Chocolate Baroque and called Punky Romance. Lots of great stamps in the set.

Have a great day

Love Chrissie xx.

Have a Heart at Tag Tuesday

Hi All

Another two weeks have flown by and Tag Tuesday started their new theme last Tuesday. Sandie has chosen Have a Heart as the subject this time.

This is something I have been wanting to try for a while so now was a good time.

I designed the three heart shapes together then printed them out onto patterned paper You can save them if you like to try this as they are in GIF format so can be printed out as an outline on any backing. I cut around the middle heart leaving a little bit at the centre top and bottom. This section can then be folded to stand up from the rest. The whole thing was now stuck onto card leaving the stick up bit free to stand out

I found the quote on a free quote site and have saved it as a GIF as well if you want to use it. I  typed it out in a fancy font as well as a plain one

Have a great day
