Diamonds are Forever at Tag Tuesday

Hi All

Hope you are keeping well and happy. We are still waiting for Spring to arrive as it is still cold here on the coast of the NE UK. The Easter school holidays have started so it will mean 2 weeks when our little town is very busy with extra people arriving for a short or longer break.

At Tag Tuesday this time the theme is Diamonds are Forever chosen by Wilma and she has made 2 tags with a great take on the theme. My first thought was a James Bond movie but maybe not.

My tag has mirrors and bling as I don't have any diamonds. I liked the idea by Wilma of a diamond wedding anniversary so I thought I would add this quote that might help  a couple to reach their diamond anniversary

I added two hearts entwined to make this animated version of the tag.

Have a great day

Try it on Tuesday Call of Spring

Hello Everyone

Thank you for visiting Jumbled Crafts and for your comments.

Try it on Tuesday have a very beautiful Mood Board made by their team member Valerie.  All the team have made wonderful samples to give everyone ideas. The whole post makes it feel like Spring Time is here.

I found images that tied in with the mood board and made them into a collage in Paint Shop Pro. The  card blank is black and 8 inches square so lots of space to add two patterned papers, my image and some Kanban greeting strips.

On Thursday we went to Whitby on the train and bus as it was such a beautiful sunny day for a change.

The old lighthouse was open to the public and we had never seen it open before. Vic climbed up to the top but my poor old knees didn't want to go.

This is Vic at the very top taking a photograph of me

This is me sitting in the shade waiting for him to come back down. I am taking the photograph of him up above.

Great views all around Whitby from the top of lighthouse, so I was told, and also of the abbey ruins on the cliff top.

Nice time of year to go to Whitby as any later and the place is so crowded it is difficult to see much at all.

Have a great weekend

Easter and Spring at Tag Tuesday

Hi All

We are back to wintery weather again though it never really went away with the very cold NE winds keeping us cold and the dark skies making it feel like winter as well. I keep thinking that Spring will soon be here for real but no sign of it yet apart from a few battered flowers in the garden.

At Tag Tuesday the theme for this week and next week is Spring/Easter chosen by Joan.

I made an animated digital tag with a clipart chick and a frame I made myself.

Went to see this show on Wednesday night and the whole audience was up singing, clapping and dancing. Not often we go out at night at all but so pleased we did go to see this.

Have a great day

Mum's the word at TIOT

Hi All

Back to cold and frost here today but lots of sunshine as well so I think the frost will clear away quite quickly. Off to visit MIL today and take her something for Mother's Day as our daughter and son-in-law are coming to stay on Sunday until next Wednesday so those days will be full for sure.

I was visiting Sue's blog and saw a great card here in a style I have never tried before. I couldn't wait to try it.

The theme this time at Try it on Tuesday is Mum's the Word and there are wonderful examples from all the amazing team.

MIL loves Alstroemeria so I made a background paper from images of some of those and also made a bigger image to print on gloss paper and cut out to use as decoupage.  Couldn't find any in these beautiful colours to take but we did buy a bunch that are a mix of brown and pale yellow.

Thank you to Sue for the inspiration and to TIOT for the great challenge ideas they have each month.

Have a great day

Spring Flowers and Chickens

Hello Everyone

Still a bit of snow here but nothing as bad as lower down the country thank goodness. Hope you are all staying safe and well.

The challenge theme this time at Tag Tuesday is Spring Flowers. This was chosen by Wendy and she made two very beautiful and inspiring tags

My tag is digital and the first thing I did was gather some photographs of spring flowers and assemble them to fill the tag shape.  I added effects to make them look more picture like. To finish it all off there borders, a picture frame, the quote and a ribbon.

I have been busy knitting little chicks with Cadbury's Creme eggs inside. Linda and Graham are coming to stay next weekend and she can take them back home to sell for the cat charity. I still have enough wool to knit more but I feel like a change from chickens today.

Have a great weekend
