Try it on Tuesday and Tag Tuesday

Hi All

Hope you week is going well. Still no sign of Spring for us and the last few days it has been even gloomier with lots of fog and cold winds.  Next week is supposed to be sunny and warm so I can't wait for that. MIL 's birthday today so we have baked a birthday cake and filled a bag with goodies to take for her to make the day special, hopefully. For anyone who wonders how she doing these days--no change really but still muddling along with the help of carers and us.

At Try it on Tuesday there is still lots of time to join in their ' Recycle Something Challenge'. I sorted through my collection of used boxes and changed one of those.

This box was from last Christmas

This is the box after a make over. I used an old paper napkin and some flowers my daughter brought for me.

A great place for bits and bobs

Tag Tuesday have Black, White and a Pop of colour. This was chosen by dear Valerie and she is even having a prize draw for one lucky person who enters a tag.

I started out with a white tag made from a recycled birthday card

The black and white background is woven with white strips through a black piece of card. I have lots of sheets of words I downloaded years ago so added some of them to the tag-'Craft' is stamped. The centre shape and the stars are made from punches.

Have a great day

Love Chrissie xx

  1. I was greatly impressed with your box makeover. I didn't see it coming, either. I was very surprised with how lovely you made the box, but also what you filled it with. You are great at recycling items like that. Hats off to your genius.

Your tag was also amazing. I was SO impressed with the weaving. A brilliant idea and concept.

Thanks for the update on your MIL. And wish her a happy birthday from your American friend, too, please.
