Tag and Scrapbook Page

Hi All

Dull and cold here and still with the wind coming from the NE. I'm pleased that we haven't had the awful rain and storms that have been all over the south of England. Hope everyone in Blogland is safe from flooding.

Still almost a week to join in at Tag Tuesday where Wendy has chosen Locks and Keys as the theme for this time.

This tag is a digital tag with a background of part of a rusty metal photograph, a bunch of keys, and a lock picture found on Google.

At Try it on Tuesday their new theme is 'She's got the Look'. Something a bit different with lots of ways to get your ideas flowing.

I made a scrapbook page for my 8x8 book. It has been negelected for a very long time and as my daughter gave me lots of 8x8 patterned papers, I thought it was time to use some of them.

This is to show eyes full of the dreamy look of love and I think this face has them.

The paper was edged with Distressed ink then I looked through an old folder with Poser Tubes and this beautiful lady was one created by Amy . I used to use a lot of her work years ago but when I looked at her web site now I find it has lots of quite risque images--maybe it's me just getting older? It was printed out on photgraphic paper and cut it out to stick on the page. Then I used various stamps including the large LOVE one by Chocolate Baroque. The flowers were cut-out from an old birthday card.

Have a great day

Try it on Tuesday and Tag Tuesday

Hi All

What beautiful weather we are having at the moment and I am pleased to say we are taking full advantage and going out walking most days while it lasts.

The theme at Try it on Tuesday this time is Destinations and I think I could have made lots of entries for that from our own photographs.

This is a digital collage of some of our own photographs of Hull. As usual the train station isn't in the best of areas of the City but a short walk takes you to the centre with the amazing buildings. There is also the art gallery and the Maritine museum there both well worth a visit. When you have seen those head for the museum sector with so many places to visit there. If you still have some energy left, head down to the docks to see the wonders it has to offer. Lots of history all over the place in Hull and always look down the little alley ways to find the unexpected.

Now to Tag Tuesday where Wendy has chosen the theme Locks and Keys for the next 2 weeks.

I covered some card with alluminium tape then used a Tim Holtz embossing folder and black ink to make the background.

I had the three small locks in my bits and bobs box and found the quote on Google.

Have a great day all-I am going to have to tackle a bit of housework today as I have neglected it when the sunshines.

Destinations at TIOT

Hi All

I hope your week has gone well and the sun has been shining where you are.

At Try it on Tuesday this time the theme is Destinations. There is still lots of time to join in and fantastic inspiration from the team.
.

For my digital piece I didn't stray too far from home really though to get there takes us quite sometime as we don't have a car. The journey is terrific by train or bus so we enjoy that almost as much as the destination. If you like 'old fashoined and unsual' this should be on your list of places to visit. Maybe a day trip would be enough for most people but we stayed in a very beautiful apartment in a restored old building.

Have a great day

Tag for 'baby love'

Hi All

Another beautiful sunny morning here but we are off to the dentist which isn't such a happy prospect. I have never been keen on going to the dentist and I think it may date back to the days of old when it always smelt of gas and the instruments looked so threatening.

This is my second tag for the challenge this time at Tag Tuesday. The theme baby love was chosen by Michele and my first tag included a photograph of me as a 'baby'

This tag has me 25 years later with my beautiful daughter. This photograph was also taken by a professional as my husband was changing jobs and it meant us moving 56 miles away from Yorkshire to Lancashire. Our families were devastated and 'needed' a photograph for the mantlepiece so they wouldn't forget what we looked like. You would have thought we were going to Australia and never coming back. At some point in my life I decided to cut all of my photographs up into different shapes and do fancy pages in an album. I really regret doing this now as I spoilt most of them. This was part of a bigger one with my husband and my son on it as well.

Have a great day

Baby Love

Hello Everyone

Sorry I haven't been commenting for a while but we decided to take off to Blackpool at short notice as their weather forecast was much better than ours at the time. We had a wonderful break with lots of sight seeing and walking.

Unfortunately I broke my glasses and they couldn't be repared, still haven't been, but  Vic did a bit of fixing so I can now do a bit of crafting again until I can get new glasses.

At Tag Tuesday the theme, Baby Love, was chosen by Michelle

and at Try it on Tuesday they have the theme stencils / die-cuts or both and you have a few more days to enter that challenge.

My tag was made to fit both challenge and the photograph is me about 2 years old. It was taken professionally as I was the first child, grandchild, niece etc. Not sure why they needed a photograph as we all lived together in one house at that time with most of the menfolk away in war somewhere.

I used die-cuts of various makes for the flowers and as I tend to cut a bagfull all at the same time I am not sure which flower is what.

I am making a follow up tag for the Tag Tuesday challenge so will post that another day.

Have a great weekend
