Time/clocks Tag

Hi All

A bit cooler than of late here and it feels really nice though the forecast is for more sun and heat in the coming week. Hope the weather is good where you are in the world.

Nice that there is somewhere that asks you to make just tags as these days that is about all I make for challenges. Any format is acceptable so it is good to be able to do a digital tag when I feel like it.

This time at Tag Tuesday the theme was chosen by Joan and it is Time/ Clocks. So lots of things you can chose for this theme

I used a fairly large piece of card and ran it through the Cuttlebug with the T.H clocks embossing folder. Then I used three colours of Distressed Inks to enhanced the raised clocks. Next I dug out an old rubber stamp by Crafty Individuals with a clock and nusery rhyme on it. Not sure I have ever used it before as it was still sealed in the original bag.

Still lots of time to join in the challenge.

Landmark Tag

Hi All

Hope your day is going well and that you enjoy the weekend. We didn't get much rain at all and now we are back to the heat and the sunshine so I have been keeping inside as much as possible to sit near to a fan and keep cool.

At Tag Tuesday the theme this time as chosen by Wendy and such a great one as it is Landmarks.

I am watching the cricket series with India up against our England team so I have made a tag for India as they aren't doing too well in the cricket. The new test match starts tomorrow if anyone else is a fan.

My first backfround on the tag has the colours of the Indian flag. My second background has a lighter version of the colours in chalk. Then I created a digital stamp from a few images I had made into brushes. This was printed onto the chalk background. The Taj Mahal was on my mind as I was reading about it no longer being the beautiful white marble building these days but a dirty orangy colour because of all the pollution. It even said it was in danger of crumbling. It would be nice to think that with all of today's knowledge this beautiful place could be restored for the future.

Off my soapbox now

Mixed Media Card

Hello There and thank you for calling in

Hope your weekend is going well. At last we have a little rain and everything already looks fresher outside. More rain is forecast so we are hopeful it is right.

I made a card for two challenges. The flowers are die cuts edged with black pen. The corners have seviettes decorated with music and I drew the leaves and the flower decorations.

At Try it on Tuesday the theme this time is Inspired by a Song. I thought the best way to chose a song was to stick my earphones in my ears and click on my i-pod to see what song came up from my many and varied collection that are played randomely. The song was Flower Duet from the opera Lakme, composed by Leo Delibes. One of my favourites and I was pleased it was that and not something by Meatloaf as I do love a mix of songs on the pod for train journeys.

I would also like to enter it at More Mixed Media where anything goes and this time the option is bright colours. I think the colours on the card would have looked brighter if the background had been more serene.

Have a good day

Digital tag and Journal Page

Hi All

Hope you aren't melting where you are. It is still very hot here and only a little rain a few days ago so everywhere is looking tired and dried up.

It is a while since I used my lap top because I have had to rest my legs but today I opened it up and did a couple of digital projects.

Try it on Tuesday has the theme Use Book Paper this time and still a few days to join in there

Just used a digital book page and doodled with a few digital brushes

At Tag Tuesday, Michele has chosen Bingo as the theme there. Still almost 2 weeks to join in and lots of ways to interpret the theme.

Never been a big Bingo fan but I was very pleased to go to some sessions when I was a widow. It seemed like a good place to make friends and pass winter evenings. It may well have been the only place where women could go alone and feel comfortable in those days. I had a lucky Bingo blobber but never won much at all.

Have a great Friday and weekend
